How Sweet it is, SA Encouraged to Indulge on FruChocs Appreciation Day.
South Australian chocolate lovers are anticipating one of their favourite events of the year, Menz FruChocs Appreciation Day, which will see the state celebrate the SA chocolate icon on Friday, 25 August with loads of fun and festivities all in the name FruChocs.
Phil Sims, Robern Menz CEO, is excited about delivering its sixth FruChocs Appreciation day, and while the day is about celebrating everything FruChocs, he is thrilled the company can extend this appreciation back to South Australians who have made FruChocs the success they are today.
“South Australians have loved FruChocs for more than 65 years and it’s fantastic to have a day to celebrate Menz FruChocs, but it’s also about honouring the enthusiasm our fans provide by being supportive and great advocates for a South Australian, family owned brand – it’s important the day celebrates those people who continue to celebrate us,” Mr. Sims said.
Robern Menz will be celebrating big, inviting fans to join in the festivities for SA’s beloved choc-apricot balls by visiting Rundle Mall from 9am – 7pm, where there will even be a giant replica of the infamous Mall’s Balls decked out in FruChocs style.
South Australians far and wide can enjoy the day in Rundle Mall alongside Mr FruChoc with loads of FREE ACTIVITIES including; balloon artists, face painters, a FruChocs photo booth, GIANT Jenga and Connect Four games, Krispy Kreme doughnut decorating with Menz lollies, music and more. Plus, there will be plenty of prizes, giveaways including a HUGE FruChoc Doughnut give-away thanks to Krispy Kreme.
Special guests on the day will include the 36ers Dance Team, Port Power mascot Tommy Thunda, the NOVA Cassanova’s and of course, Mr FruChoc who will be meeting the fans, taking photos and handing out delicious free FruChocs. FruChocs lovers, Hayley and Lauren of Channel Nine’s ‘Adelady’, will also be in Rundle Mall participating in the day’s celebrations.
Marketing Manager, Polly Love has said there is a way for everyone to get involved in celebrating the famed South Australian chocolate, whether that be big or small.
“There is so many ways to get involved” Polly said, “Lovers of FruChocs can attend our Rundle Mall activity, bring some FruChocs to the office for colleagues, bake some of our fantastic FruChocs recipes, buy a packet to share with friends and family, visit one of our FruChocs Shops and save 25% on the day, or even officially join our FruChocs Appreciation Society.”
Menz founded the FruChocs Appreciation Society in 2011, which now has more than 17,000 card carrying members and provides them with a range of rewards, people can sign up via the Robern Menz website or in-store or on the day at Rundle Mall. The three FruChocs Shops in Glynde, McLaren Vale and Hahndorf will also be helping customers stock up on treats, no matter how they are celebrating with a HUGE 25% off all sales in store and online on the day.
